Faye's Pecan Pie

One of my Mama's best friends was Faye Quam. They worked at Bell South together as telephone operators. This is her recipe and it makes the best pecan pie according to my Grandaddy.


3 beaten eggs

1 cup light Karo syrup

1 cup sugar

2 Tbls melted butter

1 tsp vanilla

1 1/2 cups pecan pieces


Blend first five ingredients with a mixer then mix in the nuts. I use a mixer for it all. Pour into unbaked pie crust.


Bake 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes. (jiggle it and make sure the middle is fully cooked)
